Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) This gem is from Stephen Harper's collection. "Knekklectric" are renowned for making first-class (Kn)e(kk)lectric fusion - but this "akustisk live" EP shows their real class. It's much more different to play excellent fusion in a (mostly) acoustic setting with its limited sound capabilities, and those five guys from Norway get it right in a perfect way. Favorite track: Rød bil (akustisk live).

about

The summer of 2018 was unusually hot in Bergen. Norwegian progrock-band Knekklectric, who are working on new songs for their third album, decided to move indoors in the boiling weather.

Together with producer and engineer Iver Sandøy, they set up a mobile recording studio in guitarist Edvard Brøther´s living room. The goal was to record some of their new songs as stripped down acoustic demos - in one day.

The result is the release called "Maskinelt Utbeina EP". Everything is recorded live.
