Carsten Pieper No guys, not everything is getting worse - at least not your music which holds the high level reached with "For Mange Melodia" :-)
Very idiosyncratic mixture of styles. I keep hearing Canterburian influences but with a heavy touch here and there for good measure.
Prog, fusion, pop, melodies, arrangement! Favorite track: Alt blir verre.

aimee I saw this album being compared to Caravan or Hatfield and the North lite and Holy Canterbury delight, Batman! This has been a very easy going album for me and the tunes just slide like butter. Knekklectric has some catchy songs that are laced with talent all about. Alt blir verre is one of those albums where I can’t imagine people yelling at me to shut it off, which happens to me often. 😉

muschiosauro A blissful, mesmerizing album that pulls from a variety of influences rooted in the melodic/pastoral side of Canterbury Sound and Scandinavian Progg. I can hear so many echoes, from Bo Hansson to Syd Arthur, from Richard Sinclair to fellow-countrymen Needlepoint. Yet, "Alt blir verre" is not a carbon copy of anything. It's a cozy, majestic, adventurous - but never abstruse - boon of sprawling music. Favorite track: Angra på.

TheEliteExtremophile This Norwegian act’s latest release is fantastic. The songs are smartly constructed and strike an impressive balance between artsiness and accessibility. There are strong melodic hooks mixed in with densely-layered instrumental passages, and the whole affair is a deeply satisfying listen.

impressivelad Gorgeous record, it sounds like wot taking a bite of victoria sponge cake with cream is like. Surely this band are a gem within the realm of norweigen progressive rock. The band perfectly balances challenging and accessible sounds, melding an array of influences into a record that while firmly in the field of old school prog, sounds highly original. Favorite track: Rød bil.

about

Knekklectric is finally back, four years after the album “For mange melodia”, which received a lot of praise from a wide array of European reviewers.

On this new album “Alt Blir Verre” ( Everything Gets Worse), Knekklectric, hailing from Ålesund and Bergen, Norway, build upon their quite unique signature sound; playful and grand progrock/fusion and pop. But this time the arrangements are bigger and more intricate, and the lyrics are darker.
